BIOTIN
Dietary sources of biotin are synthesised by gut microbes. In natural feeds, such as grasses, biotin occurs in a protein-bound form, biocytin. The bioavailability of dietary biotin between different feeds depends greatly on the digestibility of this specific binding protein. Biotin is essential for the formation of hooves and hair. It has been shown that supplementary biotin increases cytokeratins, stimulating the differentiation of epidermal cells.

Ht20 provides a consistent form of biotin to assist with healthy hoof and hair growth.

The equine hoof wall can take 9-12 months to grow out from the coronary band to the weight-bearing surface. Thus, it is recommended that ht20 be provided for at least 6-9 months to assess hoof health improvement.

MINERALS AND AMINO ACIDS
The ingestion of plants and plant-based products doesn’t necessarily guarantee adequate intake of minerals, making supplementation of minerals an important aspect of equine husbandry. Copper and Zinc are added to ht20 as they play an important part in bone formation and keratin synthesis, which
are important building blocks of healthy hooves and coat.

Ht20 also contains three acids: methionine, lysine and cysteine. Once absorbed, proteins are broken down into amino acids, providing key functions such as structure to contractile proteins actin and myosin in the muscle, collagen and keratin, nutrient transport in the blood stream and regulation of metabolic functions.

Directions for use:

Sprinkle 25 g (four scoop measures) onto the main meal of the day and mix well into the feed. 25 ml scoop included (4 scoops = 25 g ht20).
